WHERE I'M FROM: Warm & friendly Dayton, Ohio.

HOW I GOT HERE: After 30 years in radio in my hometown, it was time to spread my wings and head west. I was ready for new challenges, new people, new experiences. So I moved to Indianapolis where I have family, and got a "normal" job for about a year. I needed a break. Being out of radio for a year about killed me! I quickly realized that my love for radio lay deep in my soul and I felt like I couldn't breathe without it. So when WARM 93.9 signed on the air, I was the first in line to be on the staff. I was very lucky, because opportunities like this don't come by often! Obviously, it worked out!

I spent most of my years either managing radio stations, or hosting the morning show. On my favorite station, I called it "The Testosterone-Free Morning Show" because my morning show partner was a woman... (No men. duh.) Anyway, we got calls all the time from people who wanted to argue with me about the name of the show. Seems that everyone has testosterone, it's just that women don't have as much as men. Well, thanks for not getting the joke!

WHERE I WANT TO GO: I'd love to stay in Indy for a while.... and eventually live (at least for a year) in Washington, D.C. and then retire on a ranch out west. I'm a cowgirl at heart. (At least I love the boots!)

MY IDEA OF FUN IS: Taking our boat on Geist and avoiding the speedboats and skiers!.

FAVORITE MUSIC: Gosh, most everything. Michael Buble, Melissa Etheridge, George Michael, Journey, The Eagles, Elton John. How long can this list be?

FAVORITE WAY TO KEEP MYSELF ENTERTAINED: Surfing the internet.  Keeping up with the world.

FAVORITE WAY TO ENTERTAIN KIDS: Playing video games or watching a movie with popcorn in our giant bean bag chair.

1st JOB: At 11, I got my first paper route for the Dayton Daily News. I was one of the first girls ever to be permitted to have a route. (Back it those days, it was against policy to allow girls to deliver papers.)

1st RECORD I OWNED: I'm so embarrassed. My Mom bought me my favorite song, which at the time was "The Candy Man" by Sammy Davis, Jr. Imagine a 10 year old with that record collection! All my friends had the Beatles, the Monkees, the Supremes! The next one was "Me & You & A Dog named Boo" by Lobo. My sister punished me with that one. No Janis Joplin or Joni Mitchell. Do I have to go on? The memories are too painful!

ALMA MATER: HS = Walter E. Stebbins HS in Dayton, then Wright State University. Go Raiders!

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ME: Other than the fact that I love to sing, I'm very shy about it.

FAVORITE MOMENTS IN TIME: The adoption day of my daughter, Lena. Born in China, she was almost 13 months old and the most precious thing I'd ever seen!  She's now 9!

HOBBIES: Reading, watching movies when I find time. I love to camp, but don't find time for that!

GOALS IN LIFE (AKA THE BUCKET LIST). THINGS TO DO BEFORE I KICK THE BUCKET: Here are three.... 1) Learn to play guitar (I've taken lessons but it's still not there). 2) Visit Paris. 3) See my daughter graduate from college & get married, in that order.

ONE THING I WOULD CHANGE IF I COULD: Wow, that's a tough question. It would have to be something global, so I'd go for eliminating poverty and hunger. (Is that one or two?) Basic human needs.
